Today is a day for indulgence – we pick you up from Mooloolaba early morning and Noosa Heads or Noosaville accommodation approximately 45 minutes later depending where you are staying.
At mid-morning we’ve got an appointment for an elegant high-tea at famous Flaxton Gardens. The high class proceedings take an hour and a half and you’ll be enjoying the massive views from the terrace or beautiful gardens throughout.
Choose a plunger coffee or pot of tea and 3 delicate sweets and savouries per person, wines from the vineyard are extra at your expense.
Now its late morning and we whisk you off to that gem of the hinterlands; Montville village. Here, you can spend an hour or so checking out the quirky and delightful shops and boutiques, enjoying this quaint little village and its mountain air.
After strolling the streets of Montville Village, it’s time to get back on the minibus and check out the awesome view from Gerrard’s Lookout before a delightful afternoon tea.
Next, we’ve got afternoon tea on the lake! Set in rainforest, on the side of Lake Baroon you’ll enjoy delicious cake and coffee (or tea) on us. “Secrets on the Lake” is a popular foodie destination near Montville and enjoys panoramic views of the lake.
Mid-afternoon following afternoon tea we move onto Flame Hill Winery for one of Australia’s ultimate yet ethical paddock to plate experiences and some award winning wines.
Here, you’ll be enjoying the stunning rural setting and taste 6 wines and a local cheese platter on us.
It’s late afternoon and you’ve bought yourself a couple of bottles of sustainable wine to take home and now it’s time to head back down to the sea level to Yandina Nutworks.
Our last stop of the day is at the internationally recognised Nutworks located in Yandina before returning home after an awesome day. Learn how nut products are produced, sample or buy delicious products like macadamias, dried fruit and chocolate coated nut confectionary.
We will arrive back to your accommodation late afternoon in time for a rest before dinner.
Geoff, accompanied my adult daughter & I on a truly personal tour of the Sunshine Hinterland. The only 2 in the group meant we had flexibility and the perfect environment in which to tour this area.
We were able to view the breathtaking Glass House mountains from various vantage points and we learned so much about the area from the knowledgeable Geoff.
A delicious morning tea, glass of champers began our day of indulgence. Afternoon tea at the fabulous Treehouse and the highlight- the wine tasting at Flame Winery. We finished off our day tasting delicious macadamias – with full bellies and more knowledge of this area we were dropped back to our place.
I highly recomend this ‘new’ tour group. They have a ‘customer- focused’ approach.
We booked the Coast to Hinterland trip. 7 crazy, noisy ladies.. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful, and patient tour guide ….Geoff. He was so lovely, and very knowledgeable of the area. Being a really hot day, he made sure the van air con was on and ready for us on our stops ….which we appreciated. We also got to stop at a couple of lovely towns to do some retail therapy. And the Flame Hill Vineyards we were taken to was so pretty, with some fabulous wines. The cheese platter was also superb. Thanks again Geoff, great job.
Really enjoyed Flaxton Gardens – their take on high tea was very different although very enjoyable – staff were lovely. Secrets on the Lake is a must and again owners and staff were wonderful.
Geoff is a great personality with lots of knowledge and interesting stories to tell.
Felt as if we were on a trip with an old friend – would highly recommend this tour.
Great tour, loved the cheese and wine tasting. Shopping in Montville was also a highlight. Lovely tour guide – Geoff 🙂
Prompt pickup, welcomed by Geoff on a spotless bus, 1st stop to Flaxton gardens for high tea (at 10am, so skip breakfast!) which was divine in beautiful countryside, then shopping in Montville, super quaint! Then afternoon tea at secrets on the lake, stunning scenery and setting!! Then wine tasting with a beautiful cheeseboard then a look at the Macadamia factory. Fabulous trip, we recommend it!!
